We spent two decades exploring the Adriatic by sea kayak, guiding people through islands, winds, and open horizons. Over the years, that experience shaped how we move through nature: with awareness, respect, and an unhurried rhythm.
Eventually, our exploration moved inland.
The same curiosity that once pulled us between islands led us onto mountain trails, gravel roads, and forgotten paths. Hiking and cycling became a natural extension of what we already knew—how to design routes, read landscapes, and create journeys that feel adventurous yet balanced.
Today, we share this knowledge on land as well as at sea, guiding small groups by bike and on foot through remote, lesser-known places.
Same philosophy. Wider horizons.
This is Relaxploration.
Our Story
From Paddle Strokes to Footsteps and Wheel Tracks
- Our journey began on the sea.
- The Knowledge Carried Ashore
- A Natural Evolution, Not a New Direction
- From Experience to Exploration
- Why We Do This
More than twenty years ago, we started guiding sea kayak expeditions along the Adriatic, exploring islands, hidden coves, and wild coastlines one paddle stroke at a time. What began as a passion slowly became a way of life. Season after season, we learned to read the wind, the currents, the weather, and—most importantly—the rhythm of people moving through nature.
Sea kayaking taught us patience.
It taught us respect.
And it taught us that the best adventures happen when you slow down.
After two decades on the water, something became clear:
our knowledge didn’t belong only to the sea.
The same curiosity that led us between islands pulled us inland—toward mountain paths, ancient roads, forest trails, and forgotten landscapes. We had spent years exploring these places privately, between seasons and between trips, always asking the same question:
What else is out there, just beyond the shoreline?
Hiking and cycling felt like a natural continuation—not a change, but an expansion.
Moving from paddling to hiking and cycling wasn’t about following trends. It was about sharing more of what we know and love.
By bike and on foot, we could:
- reach remote places inaccessible by vehicle
- travel lightly and quietly through landscapes
- connect the coast with the mountains
- explore at a human pace, powered by our own effort
It allowed us to design journeys that flow seamlessly between sea, land, and sky—guided by experience, not speed.
Years of guiding taught us how to:
- read terrain and weather
- choose routes that balance challenge and enjoyment
- adapt trips to real conditions and real people
- create a sense of safety without losing adventure
That knowledge now shapes every cycling and hiking trip we offer. Whether on an e-mountain bike, a gravel road, or a mountain trail, the philosophy remains the same as it was on the sea:
Small groups. Thoughtful routes. Time to experience the place—not just pass through it.
We believe exploration doesn’t need to be extreme to be meaningful.
It needs to be honest.
Our goal is to share landscapes the way we experience them ourselves—slowly, respectfully, and with curiosity. To guide people not just across terrain, but into a deeper understanding of where they are.
After 20 years of sea kayak expeditions, this felt like the right moment to broaden the horizon.
Same spirit.
New paths.
Endless places still waiting to be explored.
